DURHAM UNIVERSITY LIBRARY Assistant Librarians ALC2 £20,267 - £26,229 We wish to recruit appropriately qualified graduates to a number of new posts in the University Library as part of a major restructuring exercise. We are looking for creative and energetic individuals who already have some experience of resources and/or services relevant to each post, preferably in an HE setting. You should have good IT, organisational and communication skills, the ability to work independently, in a team and across teams, and have a flexible approach and the capacity to work in a rapidly changing environment. Above all you must have a commitment to providing quality services to Library users. Faculty Team Librarian To join the Faculty Co-ordinators in providing academic support to University departments and Library users, to take responsibility for liaison with a number of departments across the faculties and to promote Library services and collections to users. Electronic Resources Manager To manage the Library's electronic information resources (e-journals, online databases, digital full text materials, CD-ROMs), maintain web and catalogue records, and provide user support through workshops, printed and web documentation and one-to-one assistance. Bibliographic Services Manager To manage the Bibliographic Services team (book acquisitions and cataloguing), and be responsible for annual outputs, database quality control, internal performance measures, departmental staff training and development. Documentation Units and Serials Librarian To manage serials, binding and the Documentation Units (Official Publications, EDC and Middle East Documentation Unit), promote collection development for these areas, oversee the recording of holdings and work closely with colleagues in the management of e-journals.
