National University of Ireland, Galway JAMES HARDIMAN LIBRARY Applications are invited for the following permanent appointment: Post of Assistant Librarian, Reader Services This is a key frontline post; the person appointed will assist in managing an evolving range of services provided directly to users by the Library and will supervise the team of staff delivering these services. S/He should have relevant work experience in an academic library and familiarity with Reader Services operations. Experience in staff management is essential. Requirements • A degree plus a recognised qualification in Librarianship, Information Studies or Information Science. • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills • Excellent IT skills. Salary Scales: Asst. Librarian 2: IR£22081 - £27372 p.a. Asst. Librarian 1: IR£26232 - £31437 p.a.
