Readers' Adviser - 2 posts Information Services - Hutton Library Fixed Term to 30th June 2002 18.5 hours per week, 2 evenings & one weekend day £13,981 - £17,611 pro rata Information Services provides high quality library and information services to its learning, teaching and research communities. Services are provided through four site libraries and, increasingly, over electronic networks. You will be one of a small, enthusiastic team in the busy Hutton Library, serving students, researchers and academic staff in the School of Sciences and part of Computing, Engineering & Technology. You will manage staff and services in the evenings and at weekends, providing a comprehensive range of traditional and electronic services. A good standard of education is required, including a professional library qualification or equivalent experience. You will be confident in your ability to deliver and develop services and possess good communication, ICT and teamwork skills. It is essential you are experienced in reference, enquiry and library work, IT literate and familiar with electronic information. You will possess excellent supervisory, teamwork and interpersonal skills, in addition to a customer-focused and flexible approach to work.
