Brunel University: Information Librarian

We are seeking a qualified librarian to join our Information &
Instruction Services Team, which promotes and facilitates the use of
existing and new information services amongst the University
community. You will work as the Information Librarian responsible for
the social sciences, with the capacity for serving other subject
areas.

You will be involved in all aspects of the team's work, including:
answering enquiries, user education, academic liaison, writing support
documents, and promoting the service. The person appointed will
therefore be confident in interacting with users and be knowledgeable
about the use of information resources within a learning and research
environment. Knowledge of the subject areas associated with the post
would be an advantage. You would be the senior-in-charge of the
Library during evening and weekend duties.

The post is based on the Uxbridge Campus, but you would also be
expected to support the Library's information services at other campus
libraries.

The post is on the academic-related Grade 1: Salary L18,281 - 20,237
p.a. including London weighting. Candidates should be graduates with a
qualification in library or information sciences.
