(with apologies fro cross-posting)

There will be an introductory course on COPAC, JSTOR and Web of
Science on Monday 18th June, from 1.30pm to 4.30pm. The course will be
held at the University of London Computer Centre in Guilford Street.

- COPAC gives FREE access to the merged catalogues of 20 of the
largest university research libraries in the UK and Ireland:
    http://copac.ac.uk
- ISI Web of Science for UK Education gives access to the Science
Citation Index, Social Sciences Citation Index, Arts & Humanities
Citation Index, and Web of Science Proceedings (previously named
Index to Scientific and Technical Proceedings), and related
  services:
    http://wos.mimas.ac.uk/
- JSTOR is a unique digital archive collection of core scholarly
  journals:
    http://www.mimas.ac.uk/jstor/

This is an overview course, providing an introduction to each of the
services and a demonstration of their main features, followed by a
hands-on session. The demonstrations will not only illustrate how to
use the services, but also discuss the underlying search mechanisms
and consider future developments.

This course gives the opportunity to get to grips with each service in
an unhurried situation, with COPAC, JSTOR and WoS staff available to
answer questions and provide assistance.

Course registration details etc. are available via the MIMAS Web site
at: http://www.mimas.ac.uk/courses.html
