Speakers will include: OliverVicars-Harris from the Tate talking about Tate Insight, JoanneLomax from HEDS and Catherine Grout from JISC answering the question "Why digitise?" ChristineWise from The Women's Library on the digitisation of suffragette banners KarenLatimer on PADDI, a web-based resource of Irish Architecture literature AliceAngus on Topologies, an initiative to commission public artworks using visual, aural and tactile media. JessicaCrilly and Liz Lawes talking about the London Institute's i page Contributions from ARLIS members include Doug Dodds' update on the ARLIS Union List of Art, Architecture and Design Serials and an "Ask ARLIS" session similar to the one that proved so popular last year. Workshops will deal with: E-journals Interactivelibrary tours Self-helpnetworks Preparationof bids for projects Staffdevelopment Having the East End of London as the location gives us the opportunity to visit the Whitechapel Gallery, and the many contemporary galleries in Hoxton. There will also be architectural tours of Spitalfields and the London Docklands, and a special evening reception and dinner at the Geffrye Museum and Herb Garden.
