I am interested in hearing how other academic libraries, particularly largeones, establish norms for the amount of shelving they expect to be done in
any one shift.  Do you have dedicated shelving staff? How many hours do they
work? How do you measure the amount done by any one person? Do you make
allowances for different types of stock, e.g. journals, bound journals,
heavy art books etc.?
Any information gratefully received.
