UNITED WE STAND: joint working between libraries, museums and archives

CPI Library and Information Policy Seminar, Stamford, Thursday 1 March
2001

** Places at the seminar are filling-up quickly but a few are still
available **

The context is the new cross-domain agenda for library, museum and archive
services. Re:source published its Manifesto in July and is funding a
programme to stimulate cross-domain working through the relevant regional
bodies. One major aim is to extend the People's Network into museums and
archives and to work with DCMS to develop cultural content for the Web. Co-
operation and partnership are seen as key to success.

The seminar will examine the opportunities for joint working between
libraries, museums and archives, the different perceptions of the three
domains of the challenges they face, examples of joint working, and ideas
for the future.
