One key area of dissatisfaction in a recent University-wide student survey was availability of core texts. No real surprise there, as this has been a familiar response from many surveys and course monitoring exercises in UK University libraries.Clearly, the issue has a number of dimensions including funding, student expectations, electronic developments, stock usage, short loan collections etc. I would be interested to know if others have taken any measures that have resulted in significant improvements.
