The Government Category List is planned as a high-level taxonomy - a
controlled vocabulary combining thesaural features with a classification
backbone. It forms part of the government's interoperability standards for
the UK public sector, soon to become mandatory. The lecture is open to all
who are interested. If you wish to attend, please reply to

Non-members of the BCA are welcome to attend the lecture which will follow
the Association's AGM. Please meet in the Chadwick Building (immediately
adjacent to the Porter's Lodge, going south on Gower Street) by 2.15pm.
