Geodata Sales & Support-to £27,000
Located near Aberdeen, Scotland
The position is permanent and will be based as stated above. The company provide value added data services and products to a wide variety of markets including Marine, Telecomms, Oil and Gas and Environmental. The Head Office near Aberdeen provides pre-sales support, consultancy, and post sales support of applications software for their UK and overseas customers.
The job entails contacting and responding to clients and potential customers who are interested in either bespoke or off-the-shelf geodata solutions.
This role offers a highly varied job content that embraces all aspects of supporting the sale of GIS data conversion and cross-platform migration software to a diverse customer base which includes utilities, telecomms providers, local government and oil and gas companies.
The ideal candidate will have some sales, telemarketing or bid management experience and be a willing and quick learner able to rapidly assimilate terminology and technology from different market sectors. Experience of data integration, particularly building applications from diverse data sources is very relevant. You need to be a dynamic and well presented GIS professional with experience or an attitude that reflects an empathy with the sales process and the ability to convey technical features to customers as benefits. Technically you should be familiar with GIS-related software and be comfortable working with multiple data formats and data structures. Knowledge of, or an interest in Web technology and internet/intranet applications would be desirable.

Remuneration
Is negotiable depending upon the level of candidate employed. The salary range extends from £18,000 for a second jobber up to £27,000 for a more experienced candidate.
