The National Urban Forestry Unit in Wolverhampton require a couple of
students to help undertake a landcover survey of East London. The task will
involve classifying grid squares which have been overlaid onto digital
aerial photos, and will use the ArcView software.

The positions will be on a part-time basis, working for 5 hours (8am-1pm or
1pm-6pm) for three days a week. This is a short term opportunity which is
likely to last until the end of the summer, with a start date before the
end of April.

The positions will be based solely at NUFU's offices at the Science Park
within walking distance of Wolverhampton Town Centre.
No rate of pay has been finalised, although it is likely to be 5 pounds an
hour.

Applicants must be computer literate, and although a knowledge of GIS is
desirable, it is not essential as training will be given.

If you or anyone you know is interested, or you have any queations, please
feel free to contact me. ([log in to unmask])

Many thanks
