A reminder to you all about Mike Cooper's lecture next week at the Society
of
Antiquaries, Burlington House, Piccadilly 5.30 for 6.00pm

"From graduations on metal to binary biphase modulation" is the title of the
ninth annual Invitation Lecture of the Scientific Instrument Society which
is to
be given by Professor Michael Cooper, Emeritus Professor of Engineering
Surveying, City University. This promises to be a particularly lively and
fascinating lecture from Professor Cooper who is well known to readers of
this
journal as a former President of the Land & Hydrographic Survey division of
the
RICS. He will be examining the
impact of technological change on surveying instruments and the consequences
for
the products of surveying. The date to note is Wednesday 28 November 2001,
5.30
for 6.00 pm and the venue is the Society of Antiquaries, Burlington House,
Piccadilly, London W1.
