EUG XI session O11 Diagenesis & Low-grade metamorphismI wish to submit a paper on the Chlorite-Chloritoid partitioning in Eastern Himalaya Metamorphites. I am also presenting a paper in 16th HKTW in Graz. Is it possible to support me financially for to and fro fare from Graz to Strassbourgh and stay/registration fee. Thanks, sincerely, Dr.C.S.Dubey----- Original Message ----- From: Susanne Schmidt To: [log in to unmask] Sent: Wednesday, November 22, 2000 6:55 PM Subject: EUG XI session O11 Diagenesis & Low-grade metamorphism Dear members of the geo-metamorphism mailing list, This is a call for abstracts for the EUG XI meeting (Strasbourg, 8-12 April, 2001), session O 11 "Diagenesis and Low-grade Metamorphism". This symposium is dedicated to the memories of Professors Martin Frey (Basel) and Bernhard Kübler (Neuchatel), two petrologists well-known for their work on diagenesis and low-grade metamorphism. Martin Frey tragically lost his life in his beloved Alpine mountains and Bernhard Kübler died having forcefully fought cancer. The symposium will commemorate these two petrologists by bringing together scientists working on various aspects of diagenesis and low-grade metamorphism in sedimentary and volcanic rocks including the oceanic crust. The symposium welcomes contributions from those investigating low temperature alteration processes using various approaches, such as the determination of the mineral stability fields using thermodynamic databases, reaction progress of phyllosilicates, derivation of fluid evolution histories, hydrocarbon generation and migration, age determinations of low temperature events, structural analysis of such rocks, and the reconstruction of basin evolution histories. Electronic abstract submission deadline (max 450 words) is 1st of December on http://eost.u-strasbg.fr/EUG7/EUG11.html If you have questions concerning the session, please, contact the convenors Susane Th.
