PITT RIVERS MUSEUM
Education Assistant
Library & Clerical Grade 4: £14,356-£16,618 p.a.

There is a temporary vacancy, initially for three months from January 2002 (with a possible extension to one year subject to successful fundraising), for an Education Assistant to support the Museum's Education Officer in planning and executing an innovative new approach to creating an exhibition. Duties will involve research, planning and evaluation for the project; including promoting community involvement and assisting with preparation of learning materials

Suitable applicants will have experience in education or community work together with good communication and organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines.  A background in anthropology, teaching and/or museums would be an advantage.  Possession of a driving licence would be useful.

The closing date for applications is 16th November 2001.  Interviews are likely to be in the last week of November.
