Hello Mike and others with this in mind, Your membership of FISH is in your hands! Before you decide to leave can I just remind you and everyone of the following options (see below for instructions):- 1) Too much mail to handle? There is an option to receive a 'digest' of mail from the fish list, so you only get one message a day (or, at quite times every few days). 2) Going away on holiday and don't want mail to pile up in you Inbox? You can temporarily suspend mail from this list, without having to leave. 3) You really want to leave? Then that's fine. Thanks for taking part, and remember you can always check the web site to look at messages in future. Instructions for these options:- All these options can be achieved by sending commands as the text of emails to the computer at JISCmail. NB - all email commands should go to the email address [log in to unmask] NOT the normal list address. NB also - remember to include the double hyphen after each email message text - it helps the computer process your message. 1) To receive Digests - send the following message to [log in to unmask] set fish digest -- ...and you can go back to immediate delivery of emails by sending set fish nodigest -- 2) To suspend your mail - send the following message to [log in to unmask] set fish nomail -- ... and when you get back, send the command set fish mail -- 3) To leave fish - send the following message to [log in to unmask] leave fish -- You can always look at emails from the list at the website http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/lists/fish.html Best wishes Edmund Lee Forum Co-ordinator Forum on Information Standards in Heritage -------------------------------------------------------------- Find out more about FISH at http://www.mda.org.uk/fish or join the discussion at http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/lists/fish --------------------------------------------------------------
