Are these positions then mutually exclusive, "O Welles"?
clever, that.

An actor drinking water or performing pornography--both instances of the
collapse of actor/act-ed into one body, and of course these are simplistic
situations--at least the water is.  But the problem isn't located in any case
in audience "confusion" but in the nature of its interest.
