Dear Friends and Colleagues
1. To get the "Naughty Bank Manager" personally - one must be a customer of
the bank - this is how it was addressed.
2. What puzzles me is that none in the list have said a word about the fact
that the list of users or even these who have just asked to be users of
Lloyds TSB Internet \ WEB services was compromised by the mystery hacker.
3. I have NEWWS for the Group: I am a customer of Lloyds TSB and was
honoured to get this message and visit the site.
I have also written to the WEBMASTER and Customer Service e-mail address and
to my Bank Branch Manager by FAX - and ...

=========Surprise  ++++++++++++++

NOTHING HAS HAPPENED - NOT A PIPS from the Bank ... well at least an
unlearned apology about the "mission impossible" to protect the Internet
Services so gallantly offered by this bank.

================================!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!++++++++++++++++++++++++
4. So... I guess the Naughty Webmaster is write - Lloyds TSB just does not
concern itself with its customers... nor with the quality of services on the
WEB which are window dressing of the old Main Frame services... which where
barely reasonable as an Information Processing System for a financial
institution of the size of this bank.

5. So being well conversed with the Data Protection Act 1988 and its later
offsprings and a member of the Israeli Privacy Protection Council (Ministry
of Justice) - I intend to test the implementation of the EU Directive
principles and UK Law and lodge a complaint with the UK Data Protection
Commissionaire as advised by the naughty WEB manager who sent me the SPAM. I
wonder how is enforcement of Data Protection Law implemented by the people
in charge of it. I wonder if the Naughty guy has also twisted some bank
accounts by compromising the User ID and Authorisation Controls of the
Lloyds TSB Site.... (Or is the whole thing just about proving to the Bank
Managers that their backdoors are wide open?)

6. Anyone has seen any mention of it in the Media? (Printed or Electronic).

Yours

Yosi Margalit

I for one have not received this, so presumably it wasn't sent to the
entire data-protection group.
