I've just received a polite letter from an individual asking my Council to
stop using his personal data for direct marketing. I have no problem with
this - it's a right that's set out in the Act - but how does one actually do
this? Does it mean starting a central list of those who object and inviting
anyone doing a marketing exercise to check with the list? Has anyone
received a similar objection and how did you deal with it?
