As there is an increasing push to generate income from sources other than traditional students you can probably see the reasoning. Moreover, in the days before email and even now, universities listed their staff names, depts, titles in their Calendars. It does not mean I agree or disagree with the above but the reasoning would somehow follow the line above. One point I did not make earlier, is that any directories on the web should protect addresses so they cannot be harvested by robots. This reasoning goes back to the Commissioner's Guidance of the 1996 ammendments to the 1984 Act and being sensible I apply it now even if it is no longer explicitly documented. > As a side issue how does this fit in with the eighth principle.
