Everyone appears to have a different angle on this but it is the same as
CCTV Town Centres - you must ensure that the camera is not pointing into
someone's flat in the Town Centre as it could be taken to be "intrusive"
surveillance so surely that applies to an individual. Again, I was at a
Police Seminar last week and they stated that if you are intending to erect
cameras you should check with either the Police/some authority that this has
been done correctly eg pointing of camera etc to ensure that you are not
breaching either the DP/Human Rights Act by intruding on a person's privacy.
Does an individual have to have signs saying "You are entering a CCTV Zone"
and if not, does that mean that there is a breach of the DP Act?
To be quite honest - I think there are breaches of the Act. It is the same
as e.g. a neighbour taking photos of children - he could be a paedophile!!!
