You might also want to look at the EPIC/Privacy International report
"Privacy and Human Rights 2000" which covers data protection and
privacy laws in about 55 countries, but not in any huge depth. An
updated version (not by me thank the lord) will be out in a few weeks
around the time of the Data Protection Commissioners meeting in Paris
(speaking of which is anyone from the list going to it?).
