Do you think there is any need to seek permission for the publication on the internet of the names of authors of papers that are 'in the public domain'? Lists of e.g library catalogues with authors are already available but the internet would be a wide disclosure and access would involve an overseas transfer. If consent is needed, have the authors of books in library catalogues been asked? I hate saying this but would a 'just a name' be OK but additional contact details need consent?
