I had a similar problem a few weeks ago. The only difference being that I
was trying to batch remove users. I was able to successfully get through about
half of my batch files before Blackboard started to come back with the
'failed user not found' error. I knew the users were there because I could
search for them and they appeared.
When I went to the server it was complaining about a shortage of resources.
We use NT, and it recommended increasing the size of the page file. The process
of increasing the page file requires a reboot which clears any system resources
anyway. After doing this I was able to complete my batches.
Give the server a reboot anyway - making sure that no one is using it at
the time, of course - and see whether normal service is resumed.

Good morning to
you all
I have been batch enrolling users on to courses since August -
with no
problem.
Today I am trying to batch enroll users (that I know
exist) on to a course,
same format as before and blackboard returns an error,
"failed user not
found". anyone have any idea what is going on here??? I know
the users
exist, and I even tried this with a smaller number of users - no
joy!
It is too early for Blackboard support America - can anyone help me
or
point me in the right direction? I am baffled!
Thanks
Fiona
