I know this question has been asked before but I've trawled the list archive and can't find the answer I'm looking for.

We are currently exploring the possibility of allowing readers to use their own cameras to take photographs of documents.  We can't decide on prices and wondered what other offices charged.  Also is there a flat rate charge, or do you charge for the number of images taken or are charges made for the time taken?

Also, do you have any policy statements for photographs taken by readers such as always having a member of staff present, or ensuring they only take one image of each item to comply with copyright?

Any information would be gratefully appreciated and I will of course summarise in due course.
