Abstracts should be sent to the International Biometric Society, British Regional Secretary ([log in to unmask]) as soon as possible. **************************************************************************** *** International Biometric Society - British Region 198th Ordinary Meeting - Biometrika: a celebration of the first 100 years Thursday November 8th, 2001, 10.30am - 5pm Chadwick Lecture Theatre, University College **************************************************************************** *** This meeting is being held in association with the Biometrika Trust, as part of their centenary celebrations. The meeting will include papers by John Gower, Mike Titterington, David Cox, Anthony Atkinson and Rosemary Bailey. There will also be a poster session held over lunch, with the Cedric Smith Poster Prize being awarded, together with a book voucher from Oxford University Press, to the author of the best poster. Posters are welcome from any area of biometry, and abstracts should be sent to the Regional Secretary ([log in to unmask]) to arrive no later than October 5th. Acceptance of abstracts will be notified by October 19th. The meeting will also include the Annual General Meeting of the British Region (at 12 noon) Advance registration (£10 for members, £25 for non-members - includes morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea) is essential if you want to have lunch at the meeting.
