Southampton Institute are currently reviewing their External Examiner Contract particularly in relation to precept 4. Precept 4 states "Institutions should define explicit policies and regulations governing the nomination and appointment of external examiners, and premature termination of their contract. In addition their guideline states "develop criteria and procedures for the early termination of an external examiner's contract.." Could I ask if other hei's have already developed "criteria and procedures for the early termination of an external examiner's contract" and if so would they be willing to share this with me?
