At Essex we have issued exam results via the web for the last 2 years. Students can only access their own results via a password protected site. We've also developed a link to information pages for students who have failed. These pages give details of the appeals procedures and where to go for advice etc. We've been very pleased with the way the system has operated and it means that students get their results much quicker. We no longer send out paper copies of results to everyone, however we do still write to students who have failed.
