--------------------------------------------------------------------------- Department of Chemistry, University of Southampton PhD studentship: Computer simulation of structurally enhanced materials Co-funded by Unilever Research Port Sunlight. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Applications are invited for a three year EPSRC CASE studentship, co-funded by Unilever Research Port Sunlight, on the computer simulation of structurally enhanced materials. The project will involve the development and use of models and simulation techniques for the study of materials at the microscopic and mesoscopic level. This project is sponsored by Unilever Research and there will be opportunities to work in their laboratories during the studentship. A generous maintenance grant will be available, in addition to the usual EPSRC postgraduate stipend. Candidates should have, or expect to obtain, a first or upper second class degree in chemistry, physics, applied mathmatics or a related physical science and be a UK national. Computer programming experience is not necessary in the first instance, although would be beneficial. More information on details of the project can be obtained informally from Dr. M. A. Bates ([log in to unmask]). Applicants are requested to contact (quoting ref. BATES01) : Mrs. J.
