NOTTINGHAM CITY PRIMARY CARE NHS TRUST

LIBRARY & KNOWLEDGE SKILLS TRAINER

£19,024 to £22,257pa

Temporary for up to three years

We are looking for someone with ability and enthusiasm to join the team
taking forward the Information for Health agenda in Nottingham. Funded by
the Local Implementation Strategy, this peripatetic post is based at City
Hospital, but will involve working across NHS organisations within the city.
You will be part of a team initially delivering individual and small group
training on the Internet and electronic databases, concentrating on staff
working in the acute and mental health sectors. You will also help to assess
training needs and develop accredited training courses and materials,
including critical appraisal skills training.

A professional library or information qualification is essential, as is an
understanding of the NHS modernisation agenda and knowledge of sources of
health information. Experience of training or library work, communication,
IT and team-working skills are also essential. A willingness to travel and
flexibility to perform some evening duties are required. Appropriate
training and support for continuing professional development will be
available.

Hours of work are 37 per week
