I'm trying to estimate the proportion of LVF admissions that are transported by ambulance (rather than taken by taxi / own car). (Current prehospital databases are only able to tell me numbers of patients given a particular intervention (and then only if recorded on patient report form). MPDS codes are too imprecise for this - difficulty breathing with cardiac history, or heart problems, or chest pain with severe respiratory distress etc) Any thoughts?
