Dear all, A number of you have made enquiries about accommodation in Wolverhampton. May I direct you to the following webpage? There is a good selection of guest houses in town with contact addresses and telephone numbers:(please check also the attachment) http://www.smoothhound.co.uk/wolverha.html This links with the reasons why after much deliberation I decided that the conferece should take place on one day only (saturday 16th) instead of two as in previous years. It was partly because very few papers were initially volunteered at the time when I was trying to find a venue which didn't warrant stretching the conference to two days. Although this has now changed, I think that having all the papers on one day will bring more people together than if we had a full weekend as those who have to self-finance the conference are inevitably put-off by the idea of having to stay in a B & B and those giving papers on a sunday inevitably find themselves delivering to a very small audience. This however, does not mean that anybody has to go home on saturday night. I'd be good to have a night out. Can I therefore offer a limitted amount of floor-surface in my house for those who need a place to stay and can't afford (or have nobody who will pay) a B & B? Please let me know as soon as possible and bring a sleeping bag with you if you can. Also, given that the train system in this country has now 'collapsed', some of you might not be able to guarantee your arrival to Wolverhampton by 11 am on saturday 16th; please feel free to come on friday night. Regards, Kepa
