I am sure the list is aware of the Runic gravestone marked Hildithryth found at Hartlepool (Heruteu) from whence Hilda is said to have moved to Whitby. I have often wondered how many St.Hilda's churches have occupied the place of the present building. The other story from Hartlepool is of the men who hung the monkey. Dave Forth
