Thanks to everyone who replied to my request for help in identifying 'Florilegus', both on and off list. He turns out to be Matthew of Westminster, who was once thought to be the author of _Flores historiarum_ (as several respondants suggested), but who is now known not to have been its author - nor, in fact, to have existed at all as a chronicler.
