PRACTICAL HYBRID LIBRARIES: BUILDING ON BUILDER
The BUILDER Project Conference at the University of Birmingham 10-11 January
2001

The BUILDER Hybrid Library Project, based at the University of Birmingham,
has taken a pragmatic approach to the development of the hybrid library, and
has produced a number of 'nuts and bolts' techniques for delivering hybrid
library products. Many of these techniques are easily applicable today.

This non-residential conference is designed for all Library and Information
Professionals and Computer/Systems Professionals, who are interested in the
development of hybrid library services. If you have not been directly
involved with the eLib programme, then this Conference is for you! In this
fast moving environment, this Conference will serve to demonstrate in a very
practical and easy to understand way what the hybrid library is all about,
and what services and products it consists of.

The full delegate fee is only 85 pounds, or 45 pounds for 1 day. Closing
date for bookings is Friday 1 December 2000. Early booking is recommended.

For further information about the conference - programme, speakers, online
booking form - please visit the BUILDER Web site at
http://builder.bham.ac.uk/conference, or email the Conference organiser,
James Endicott (email: [log in to unmask]; tel.: (+44)(0)121 414 2766)
for further information.

of printed and electronic information sources, local and remote, using a
Web-based interface, and in a way which will be universally applicable."

which is funded by the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) of the
Higher Education Funding Councils.
