Gender and Disability Studies Conference

The Institute for Research on Women announces a two-day conference on
gender and disability studies, March 2-3, 2001.  The conference proposes
to investigate the ways in which disability and gender are related in
the social, cultural, political, and economic framing of human
variation.  Conference organizers invite papers covering local or global
aspects of disability in a gendered perspective and welcome
presentations in the arts, humanities, and social and natural sciences.
Featured speakers include Adrienne Asch and Rosemarie Garland Thomson
among others.

Please submit proposals for individual twenty-minute presentations as
well as proposals for entire panels along with a brief cv of
