The network was created at the Helsinki 2000 colloquium to promote participation and communication. ***egos NetWork is committed to work within EGOS to enable participants, particularly those who are, or feel, 'new' to become more actively involved in EGOS and in shaping and running events, workshops, discussion groups and similar activities. ***egos NetWork aims to improve communications among the participants and the world of academia using all available media in order to promote a continuous exchange of ideas, material, information and support, thereby facilitating collaborative research projects and workgroups. ***egos NetWork is inspired by the idea of forming an exciting and attentive forum within EGOS that develops and plays with the idea of 'Difference'. Instead of mirroring mechanically what is already done, we wish to follow creative and original routes in organising events that are inclusive, and supporting debates that stretch the boundaries of whatever is generally considered important for Working, Organising, Researching. ***egos NetWork is not an 'official' creation of the EGOS group; it was originally established by Alessia Contu ([log in to unmask]), Attila Bruni ([log in to unmask]) and Steffen G.
