WELCOME TO BOBCATSSS 2001

The 9th BOBCATSSS symposium will take place in Vilnius, Lithuania the 29th,
30th and 31st. of January 2001. Like always, the BOBCATSSS is a co-project
between one western LiS school and one from Eastern/Central Europe. This
time students and teachers from the library and information studies at Oslo
University College and Vilnius University are cooperating to arrange the
conference.


The topic of BOBCATSSS 2001 is:

Kowledge, Information and Democracy in the Open Society: The Role of the
Library and Information Sector.

Students, teachers, researchers and practitioners in library and information
science  and related fields are welcome to participate. You are also welcome
to send in abstracts (400  words) for papers within the 15th of October.
