The Dublin Core Metadata Initiative is redesigning the DCMI website
(http://purl.org/dc). We are soliciting input from users of the site. We
recognize that there are many varieties of users with a broad spectrum of
objectives, and we are hopeful that we will improve the degree of
satisfaction associated with all such levels of use.

We will appreciate input in the following categories:

1. Common Tasks. Please describe as specifically as possible common tasks
you perform or would like to perform at the DCMI site. An example might be:
  - visit the site to identify recently approved DCMI Recommendations
and how they are implemented in specific applications.

2. Are there other web sites that you use that enable you to accomplish the
sort of tasks you would like to perform at the DCMI website? Please specify
these tasks and send the URL(s) of the site(s) that best support such tasks.
What specific aspects of the recommended sites help meet your needs?

3. General Suggestions. Are there general suggestions that you have for
improving the Dublin Core Website, or examples of things we are doing now
that are particularly helpful, and should be retained in the new design?

4. Design Considerations. Do you have suggestions for design aspects and
supporting technology of the Dublin Core site? For example:
  - Enhancing site aesthetics through the use of (more or fewer) graphics
  - Use of supporting technologies such as Java Script
  - Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) compliance
  - Others...?

Please send responses to mailto:[log in to unmask] A summary of responses will be
posted to the DC-General mailing list at a future time.

thanks for your time
