Dear John Cram, Your reminder of the purpose of the Kipling List is timely. Members of the Kipling Society will need no reminder from me that the Society's object, as stated in its Rules, is the promotion of the study and appreciation of the life and works of Rudyard Kipling. As far as I am concerned, anything bordering on the personal or the acrimonious is outside the Society's raison d'être; and therefore off-side. Let us aim for sweetness and light. Yours sincerely George Engle %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
