The Department of  Library and Information Studies at University College  Dublin is pleased to host on behalf of BAILER*  the 4th  British-Nordic Conference

- the future of  Library and Information Studies Education ?

Papers for  the March 2001 Conference are invited from educators, practitioners and researchers in the following principal, though not exclusive, areas of interest:
  
* Education and Research for Heritage Information Management

* Networks-Partnerships-Consortia-Mergers

* Learning and Empowerment

* Taxonomies and Typologies

* The Economics of Information


The Proceedings will be published.

Proposal deadlines:

The official language of the Conference will be English.  Speakers should include their institutional affiliation and contact details (e-mail, phone, fax) 
with both hardcopy and electronic versions of their papers, to the Conference Secretariat, within the following schedule:

For multi-authored papers please state clearly the main author's 
contact details

8  September 2000: Abstracts [500 words maximum in Word6 or higher]

13 October 2000: Notification of  programme acceptance

15 December 2000: Final paper in camera-ready copy [5500 words maximum in Word6 or higher]

26 January 2001: Notification of acceptance of final papers
