Dear Metadata Folk, I am very pleased indeed to announce the availability of the DC Qualifiers Recommendation. I would particularly like to thank the Chairs of the DC Working Groups who have sheparded proposals through the discussion and balloting process, and the members of the DCMI Usage Committee who have debated these proposals and brought them into a coherent whole. And for everyone who brought their expertise and insight to bear along this long and difficult effort, thank you, and congratulations on achieving this singular effort in international consensus. There are many important challenges facing us, but today is a great time to reflect on our success.
