THE GODFREY AWARD
For a librarian who has furthered the use, appreciation and
understanding of maps in an exceptional way

In association with the British Cartographic Society, Alan Godfrey
Maps makes an award every two years to a librarian who has furthered
the use, appreciation and understanding of maps. The award
consists of a cheque for £350 together with a specially commissioned
carving by the sculptor Ralph Williams, normally of a migrating bird ...
signifying great travellers.

We would greatly appreciate nominations for the award which will
next be awarded at Oxford in September 2000.
Nominations, with details of why you think the person has merited the
award and with the name of a seconder, should be sent to Julie Snook,
