The details are reprinted below: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THE GODFREY AWARD For a librarian who has furthered the use, appreciation and understanding of maps in an exceptional way In association with the British Cartographic Society, Alan Godfrey Maps makes an award every two years to a librarian who has furthered the use, appreciation and understanding of maps. The award consists of a cheque for £350 together with a specially commissioned carving by the sculptor Ralph Williams, normally of a migrating bird ... signifying great travellers. We would greatly appreciate nominations for the award which will next be awarded at Oxford in September 2000.
