Dear Alan There is no current national 1:25,000 series for Ireland (either north or south). OSI do publish two district maps at 1:25,000 for the Aran Islands and Killarney National Park, but these are closely derived from the 1:50,000 Discovery Series. The only national coverage of Ireland at this scale was made by the War Office in the early 1940s and issued as GSGS 3906. Like the similar British series, these maps were photographically reduced from the 1:10,560 scale (pre 1922 mapping), reconfigured on a national grid, with contours redrawn bold. It is difficult to find complete sets of this series in Ireland but there is a set in the British Library. Our set is only 25% complete and we do not have the Bantry sheets. Your customer will probably have to use the 1:10,560 county Cork series. Some of the 'current' sheets at this scale date from 1900, and, despite the their age, they are in the OSI digital database. Presumably they can be plotted at any scale. Hope this helps.
