APOLOGIES FOR CROSS-POSTING FINAL CALL FOR PAPERS RGS-IBG PLYMOUTH 2000 LAST RESORTS: TOURISM AND CHANGE AT THE SEASIDE Convenors: Gareth Shaw and Allan Williams (University of Exeter) This module addresses the causes, mechanisms and consequences of changes in coastal resorts, a phenomenon of increasing importance for both the tourism sector and for localities. It seeks to investigate both the broader cultural and politico-economic shifts that have informed resort changes in the UK, Europe and elsewhere, as well as the changes in institutions, firms, policies and communities at the local level.
