Erik, History is one of the four disciplines I am investigation in my PhD research into student motivation to learn and conceptions of disciplinry knowledge. Below are some references I have come across which deal specifically with learning in History. Hope they are of use. Sheppard and Gilbert link teaching and learning in History (the others deal with the learning more than the teaching), but Hallden and Old is one that I found really good in relation to my interest in conceptions of knowledge. I would be interested in any further sources of reference that others come up with. Rosanna Breen OCSLD Oxford Brookes Booth, A.
