Elephants, whales, tigers and turtles will continue to enjoy international
protection.  After often impassioned debate at the meeting on trade in
endangered species in Kenya, delegates from 151 nations agreed to retain the
ban on international trade in elephant ivory, to deny a Cuban request to
sell hawksbill turtle shells and to keep the meat of minke and gray whales
off international shelves. These animals were added to the U.N. Convention
on International Trade in Endangered Species. -  from USA Today
