In September 2000, the Department of Sociology of the Katholieke
Universiteit Leuven starts with
Managing and Monitoring Societal Development.
Master Programme in the Sociology of Social Change in
European Societies.
This programme is an English taught, advanced academic training
programme in sociology. It focuses on analysing and understanding
(monitoring) the actual transitions which present themselves in modern
societies and on the consequences of it for
policy making in the major institutional areas (managing).
The programme is a post-graduate degree course that may be completed as
a full time option over one year or as a part-time option over two
years.
The active cooperation of the Sociology Department of the K.U.Leuven in
wider university networks guarantees the comparative and international
perspective of this programme.
