Jim....As editor of Disability Studies Quarterly I will reply to only one
issue you brought up (volunteering) and leave the other issues to those
persons who are connected to them.....David

  Let me say what I meant and then maybe we can use you as a volunteer at
- where are you anyway? Three of the four issues a year are put together
by the symposium editors and you would have to voluteer to them, but of
course not having received any copies of DSQ you do not know who they
are! I have remedied that.
  The book, video, and film review editor is always looking for
reviewers. Her name is Dr. Elaine Makas (she goes by Elaine) and her email
address is <[log in to unmask]>. Contact her and tell her your areas of
expertise. At times she is difficult to get to because she is out of town
so please be patient.
  I review and edit everything which goes into an issue of DSQ. There is a
copy editor who also edits each issue. And Richard Scotch as managing
editor reviews everything before the issue is printed. If you can suggest
a role you could take, we will discuss it, but please off line.

  I will investigate that development. If you paid for 1999 you should
receive the four issues.
