(£16,286 - £22,579) Well qualified computing professionals are needed to join a friendly, supportive and expanding Department which has a major focus on interdisciplinary, user-centred, research and teaching, and was awarded a top grade of 5A for its research. Applicants for the lecturer/teaching assistant should have teaching skills in applied computing, and an interest in research which is complementary to, but can be linked with current research interests of the Department. Applicants for a lectureship should have a proven research record. A research assistant is required for the development of a portable interactive system for memory impaired people. The successful candidate, who should have strong programming and human-computer interaction skills, is likely to be familiar with mobile communications technology and the development of interactive systems from a user-centred perspective.
